Future of Hampt
on Roads is a group of private citizens who promote effective regional cooperation.
A nonprofit 501(c)(3) organized in 1982 to perform the first regional visioning project for the region, the organization continues today as a think tank where we seek to improve the competitiveness of the region in order to enhance our economy and quality of life, both for our 1.7 million residents and for our many transient military and tourist guests.
Visitors to this site are encouraged to delve into our activities, our background readings on regionalism, as well as our detailed publications full of actionable ideas for long-range regional improvement.
Additional regional information is available on the Web sites of the many other regional organizations that act, like Future of Hampton Roads, to make Hampton Roads a great place to live, work, and visit.
